Aakash Jr. college of science& commerce is affiliated to the Maharashtra State Board of Education started on 2004 by Mr.Rajkumar J. Yadav. Aakash is the culmination of a strong belief that enlightening minds and empowering them is the only way for battling and eliminating social evils and uplifting the society. The seed for Aakash Educational Society was first shown by Mr.Rajkumar J. Yadav with 60 students to give shape to his dreams of transforming the society by equipping every child with education. Now the strength has reached to 1800 students. The goal was to provide an opportunity for good quality education for each and every child who secure less percentage and to create a platform to nurture their talents and provide them with opportunities to learn, develop and transform into a all-rounded individual. Providing quality education for every single child is the only way of achieving developmental goals, as development can begin only with education.Aakash Educational Society is one such initiative that aims to provide quality education and equal opportunities to the children from any caste and religion and deserving student but financially weak section of the society. Aakash Educational Society strongly believes that, it can eliminate social evils and uplift the society only through education. Through this educational institution, it reachs out to children who passed their S.S.C and have a strong urge to take ahead Education and provide them with opportunities to not only complete their education but also transform into confident, and competent and socially responsible individuals. Vision and Mission Our vision is to provide value based quality education to financially weak section of society and training in an environment conducive to intellectual, social and cultural enrichment so as to mould responsible blend of Indian traditions and modern technology for a better tomorrow.

The trust was registered as a Public Trust in the year 1990 with an objective to lend a helping hand towards the welfare of the society and reform the educational system. In the year 1990, the trust kept its first step in the field of education and now it has become a conglomerate of premiere educational Institutions driven by Thakur family. The trust is a combination of premier educational Institutes, University accredited professional courses and autonomous courses. Shailendra Education Society’s Arts, Commerce and Science College was established in 1994 with the launch of Commerce faculty. The Arts faculty was started in the year 1996. The college began with the primary objective of providing education to the lower socio-economic strata of the society who are very often the first generation learners. To increase the employability of the students the college launched self-finance courses from 2004 onwards. Under the self-finance courses BBI, BMS and B.Sc. (IT) courses are offered. The college has been sanctioned Research Centre in the Subject of Business Economics under the faculty of Commerce The College has undergone NAAC reaccreditation process in November 2011 and has been awarded B grade with CGPA of 2.92.
