The Jesuits manage Xavier Institute of Engineering (XIE). They are the members of the Society of Jesus which is an international spiritual organization of priests and brothers in the life of the Catholic Church. It was founded in 1541 by St. Ignatius of Loyola. Today, 450 years after its foundation, the Jesuits are spread all over the world and happen to be the largest religious organization in the church. In the rural villages they are engaged in the pastoral, educational and social fields, designing innovative programmes in non-formal education, health care and legal aid. The Management of XIE is well known for designing its own stringent quality standards for education keeping in view the challenges being imposed on the education sector due to increasing global competition. The management is committed to uphold the highest standards of engineering education. The trust was registered as a Public Trust in the year 1990 with an objective to lend a helping hand towards the welfare of the society and reform the educational system. In the year 1990, the trust kept its first step in the field of education and now it has become a conglomerate of premiere educational Institutions driven by Thakur family. The trust is a combination of premier educational Institutes, University accredited professional courses and autonomous courses. All the Institutions under this Thakur Educational Trust are ISO certified, which is an acknowledgement of the Institution capability to deliver and cater the need of the education with professionalism worldwide. The Thakur Educational Trust has catered various needs of the society including education from KG. to PG at all levels irrespective of sex, creed and religion.

Shailendra Education Society

Shailendra Education Society’s Arts, Commerce and Science College was established in 1994 with the launch of Commerce faculty. The Arts faculty was started in the year 1996. The college began with the primary objective of providing education to the lower socio-economic strata of the society who are very often the first generation learners. To increase the employability of the students the college launched self-finance courses from 2004 onwards. Under the self-finance courses BBI, BMS and B.Sc. (IT) courses are offered. The college has been sanctioned Research Centre in the Subject of Business Economics under the faculty of Commerce The College has undergone NAAC reaccreditation process in November 2011 and has been awarded B grade with CGPA of 2.92.
